Through Her Eyes
I gaze at her and smile, wander reflects through her eyes as she blinks curiously, she whimpers as I hold her close
I chase after her, her eyes widen as she blinks cheerfully, she giggles as I hold her close
I grasp her hand, her eyes shrink as she blinks rapidly, she slams the door shut and her tears flow as I hold her close
I exhale depressedly, her eyes scan the dorm as she blinks nervously, she unpacks as I hold her close
I applaud vigorously, her eyes twinkle as she blinks excitingly, she displays her degree as I hold her close
I nod firmly, her eyes follow me as she blinks attentively, she fixes her collar as I hold her close
I smile faintly, love sparkles through her eyes as she hardly blinks, the wedding bells ache through my heart as I let her go
I listen sympathetically, her eyes deepen as she blinks sheepishly, she pours her heart out as she holds me close
I hold back tears, her eyes twitch as she blinks restlessly, she breathes heavily as she holds me close
I caress her newborn, her eyes relax as she blinks contently, my tears flow as she holds me close
I listen carefully, her eyes scrutinize as she blinks anxiously, I give advice as she holds me close
I close my weary eyes, her eyes water as she blinks with humility, memories slowly but surely fade as I finally let her go
I watch her from above, the starlit sky shines through her eyes as she blinks tearfully, she smiles as she hasn’t let me go

This brought tears to my eyes. Reminded me of my daughter who recently got married to the love of her life. I know love when I see it and I am more than happy for my baby. Seeing her grow up into a beautiful woman and receiving unconditional love from her soulmate, as well as me is just a beautiful feeling that cannot be described. This poem not only reminds me of my daughter, but of myself and my mother as well. Brings back memories and is very heart touching because the love a mother gives is just unlimited and special. Thank you so much for sharing. I will definitely pass this on to my daughter and son-in-law! They will absolutely love it. Keep up the amazing work! Oh and if you are open to suggestions, I would love to hear a poem about unconditional love between soulmates as well.

Thank you for the lovely message Romina. Yes a mother’s love is unconditional. Of course I am open to suggestions always. I’ll definitely consider your suggestion.
